If you’re a bit tired of the usual macaroni cheese, you might want to try this old 1970s version which adds sweet corn and asparagus.

MACARONI AND EGG HOT POT
This is a twist on the old favourite – Macaroni Cheese. I rather like the idea of adding hard boiled eggs and ham. It would really make a meal of it.
CHICKEN AND MUSHROOM BAKE – Two Versions
Version One has the grand title Chicken Saute Au Gratin – a bit fancy really for chicken and mushroom topped with chips and cheese. Still as the tag at the bottom says it’s a great one for kids.
Version Two is not that much more sophisticated and should also be one kids love. Having just made a ‘pasta bake’ ie macaroni cheese for my grand-daughters, I really think this could also be called a pasta bake. Although I think I’d substitute whole milk for the evaporated milk for a better flavour.
CHICKEN AND PASTA LOAF
Although the sun might be shinning and it’s not quite picnic season yet, I couldn’t resist adding this recipe to the collection. Of course you could have it hot for lunch or an evening meal with vegetables, but cold with a few slices of fresh bread and a little chutney………..yum.
