I haven’t tried this, but as beef and beer works well in as a casserole can’t see why this combination wouldn’t taste good as well, especially with the sour cream added to the sauce.
Mum keep a page of lamb recipes from the Herald Sun dated July 1, 1997, this recipe baking the lamb in chilli and beer caught my eye. Not sure if I’ll give it a try, but you might like to.
Neither Mum or Dad were beer drinkers, but there was usually a bottle in the fridge for visitors, sometimes it would sit there for a bit too long and not be fresh enough to serve. So this recipe was great for using up the odd ‘stale’ bottle. It makes a very hearty winter casserole.
